Work-in-progress!

...and my first post to the knit-a-long! Here's mine, I'm 16" in, and need to measure to make sure I don't want it extra long, before I split for front & back. Kati's really inspired me, I loved the color (dunno if ours are the same or not.) I used Sirdar Snuggly DK in #222 - Surf and I absolutely love it! I'm almost through the second ball, so I hope I can get through to the straps without needing more. (Yarnmarket only had 2 left, last I checked!)

Razor Cami - WIP

Anyhoo, hope you guys like it, I'd love to hear comments! Thanks!

not really progress, but...

i haven't forgotten about my razor cami. i think i'm going to go through my stash and see if there's anything that might work for the very top of this. i'd love to get it off the needles, but don't really want to work on it if i'm just going to have to stop to search for more yarn.

Finished Cami!

I've finally finished my razor!

I cast on 204 stitches, because I am obviously not as tiny as the designer, and it took two and a touch of a third skeins of the snuggly 4ply in color 377.

Splitting for the front and back was the tricky part. I counted until there were exactly half, placed a marker opposing the first marker, and then moved both markers in evenly(about ten stitches on each side) so there were more stitches in the back than in the front. To work the front keeping in pattern, I ended up decreasing once on each edge each pattern row to retain the four edge stitches with the yarnovers. If I make another, I'd probably do double decreases every four rows or so, so the straps could be at the edge of the cami.

But otherwise, I'm really happy with it, and there are some other notes and shots on my blog. :)
